Welcome Back! NEW Classes for 2010

Hello All,

Welcome back to Class. I can't wait to see you all on the mats tonight.

Hope everyone has had an enjoyable holiday.

I'd like to update everyone on the classes for the current term. Due to some communication difficulties with the administrators from the Recreation Centre - I have been unable to post the course codes for this term until today. My apologies- however we are now on track.

All Classes run every Wednesday in the Withrow Clubhouse, at the times listed below.

The First class will run from 5:15pm-6:15pm. Kids 5-9yrs.

Registration Code: 1620532

This kids class is for all new students, and those students ages 5yrs - 9yrs of age. It is the beginners curriculum, and we will be introducing our methods of teaching and discovering the Urban Karate Program. It is the first step to the Playground Self-Defence Karate system that I have developed over my years of training in Karate and other Martial Arts. If you have not taken a class with me before, this is the class for you.

The Second class will run from 6:30pm-7:30pm. Kids 7-12yrs.

Registration Code: 1620530

This new class is for the slightly older age group 7yrs-12yrs, and we will be running through the beginners curriculum at a quicker pace for this group. It is also the perfect class for those students who have already had an introduction to the Playground Self-Defence Karate program. We will still be covering similar material but trying to be more in depth with our understanding and experience of developing our techniques.

The third class will run from 7:45pm-8:45pm. Adults and Teens

Registration Code: 1684419

This class is where we are developing our techniques and the full Urban Karate program. We will be covering techniques ranging from Standing striking and kicking, gripping and holding, as well as self-defence from the ground. This class is very different from the kids program, while keeping the methods of learning through partner work and drills. This class requires no previous experience with martial arts or karate. It is great for beginner students who are curious about the Art. Because of how we develop our skills, it is also great for those who have experience with partner work and karate techniques- hopefully we can show some new methods of how to experience different ways of putting your techniques to work for you.

Now with all these new courses and class times, we are anxious to fill our classes. If anyone knows of someone who may be interested in our programs, or is curious about getting involved, please forward them to this site http://www.karateschool.ca/, call, or email me directly.
