This course is an introductory program designed for the beginner, to explore the techniques and positions of Flow Karate and Ju-jitsu. Our 3 month trial program is perfect for those who have enjoyed our beginner workshop, or who are interested in seeing what martial arts are all about.

We will be going through the concepts and techniques of Karate and Ju-Jitsu, some of the concepts we will study are:

- What are Karate and Ju-jitsu? How do I train them?
- How the positions and postures relate to one another
- How to move from one position to the next in a relaxed manner
- Why the techniques work the way they do
- The natural order in which the postures and techniques arise

We are motivated by having an enjoyable experience, and discovering what martial arts training can do to benefit our lives. This is a non-competitive club, for the people who are working professionals, who would like to train in martial arts and still be able to go to the office the next day.

For this on-going course, a martial arts training kimono (called a Gi) is required. We recommend a Judo, Ju-jitsu, or heavy weight Karate Gi for training. It can be of any colour (most come in White or Blue), and does not have to be purchased through us, although we can offer our opinion on products and do have a supplier if you would like to order with Man-Alive Martial Arts and the Leslieville Ju-Jitsu Club.
